How to Apply
To qualify for the Christmas Sharing Program all individuals must live within the following boundaries:
- City of Belleville
- Thurlow Ward
- East to Shannonville (but not including Tyendinaga Territory)
- West to Whites Road
- South to Ameliasburg
(If you reside outside these boundaries, please call the office for a referral to a program in your area.)
*** All applicants must show documents to prove the address of the residence, the identity of everyone living in the home and the income of all members of the household. Acceptable documents consist of rent receipt or recent utility bill; birth certificates, health cards, drivers’ licenses; recent Ontario Works or ODSP statement or pay stubs for past month showing year to date income or bank statements showing pension income.
The link to the online application form will be open during the month of November only.
Important: All the above listed proof of eligibility should be scanned or photographed and emailed to the Christmas Sharing Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your documents are not received in a legible format within 5 days of submitting your online application the application will be discarded.
Apply in Person
Folks who do not wish to apply online are invited to apply in person at the Christmas Sharing office, 2nd floor of Century Village, on weekdays from 10 am to 4 pm in November or outside these hours by appointment. (Call 613-969-1020 if an appointment is necessary.) An application will not be completed if you do not have the required documents for everyone in the household with you. Only one person per family will be permitted in the office so that social-distancing can be maintained. Covid-19 screening will be done at the door, masks must be worn, and hand sanitizer used.
