Melanie Rabishaw made a donation in memory of her Aunt Joyce Staples. Melanie who was holding a picture of Joyce stated her Aunt always made it a priority of helping and showing kindness to others who were less fortunate.

Congratulations to Joan Elsasser who was presented with the Volunteer of the Week Award. Joan has been a volunteer with the Christmas Sharing Program for over 9 years. Prior to that Joan was the Program Co-ordinaries. Joan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Program and is always ready with a smile and a helping hand.
Special thanks to Mark Macdonald, Suzanne Gould and Nancy Wood from BMO Nesbit Burns for their generous donation of $1000.00, to assist families in need at Christmas. Accepting the cheque is Rick Clow Co-ordinate Christmas Sharing.
Bruce Mackay from Mackay Insurance has held a walk in honour of the Memory of his Mom to help raise money for Families in need at Christmas. This year Bruce along with family and friends helped to raise $8,500.00 for the Christmas Sharing Program. Since 2011 Bruce has been instrumental in raising $75,685.00 for the Christmas Sharing Program, assisting hundreds of families at Christmas! What an amazing accomplishment. Thank you Bruce!
A presentation of $5,000.00 from the City of Belleville presented by Mayor Mitch Panciuk and Counsellor Kelly McCaw to Christmas Sharing Co-ordinator Pam Smith. Christmas Sharing was thrilled to receive this donation which will help 50 small families in need this Christmas!
Board Chair Nancy Roberts and Board Member Pam McKibbon we’re thrilled to present the 2nd Annual Christmas Sharing Humanitarian Award to Teacher Amy Caulhane and Student Representatives Helena du Tulio and Fearghus McFadden from Centennial Secondary School.
Michael Faulkner, director of Lets Make a Choir is pictured presenting a cheque for $1,100 to JPam Smith of Belleville Christmas Sharing. The funds were raised during recent concerts at St. Columba Presbyterian Church in east-end Belleville.
The 2018 winner is Abbie Taylor a Grade 11 Student from Quinte Secondary School. Dr. Hal Wilson presented the Bursary to Abbie.
Carol Coburn and Linda Lowry accepted an appreciation award on behalf of West City Honda for their very generous donation to the Christmas Sharing Program.
Christine Deshane accepted an appreciation award on behalf of Duvanco Homes, Duvanco has done a facebook fundraiser for the past several years raising substantial money for the Christmas Sharing Program.
Sheri Thompson accepted an appreciation award on behalf ofPretzell, Davies, Thompson and Benton Law Office for their outstanding financial support of the Christmas Sharing Program.
Sally Fry of Benton Fry Ford accepted an appreciation award for their generous financial support of the Christmas Sharing Program.
Brent Wood of International Truckload Systems received an appreciation award on behalf of his company for generously donating the use of one of their trailers to store banana boxes for our Christmas food box deliveries.
Kate Neale and Linda Hill accepted this award on behalf of Ralph Neale Belleville – Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram. Ralph Neale does a payroll deduction with his staff and generously matches their donations for the Christmas Sharing Program.

Councillor Mitch Panciuk received an award and offered greeting on behalf of the City of Belleville.
Board Chair Nancy Roberts presented a recognition certificate to Kate Neale of Ralph Neale Belleville Dodge Chrysler Jeep Dealership. This past year Ralph Neale promoted an employer payroll deduction plan whereby employees would donate and Ralph Neale would match the donations!

Bethany Loosemore is the happy recipient of the Dr. Hal Wilson Bursary for 2015. Bethany did an exceptional job in promoting the Christmas Sharing Program in her school. With the help of Bruce Mackay’s family and friends they raised $4,600.00 for Christmas Sharing in memory of Bruce’s Mother.

Christmas Sharing Humanitarian Of The Year Award
For the past 3 years the Christmas Sharing Program has been pleased to honour individuals, groups and businesses who have made exceptional efforts to help support our Program. Past winners of this Award are Bruce Mackay and Centennial Secondary School.
Congratulations to Duvanco Homes the 2019 Winner of the Christmas Sharing Humanitarian Award. Over the past 5 years Duvanco Homes has raised money with their other Trades Partners to sponsor approximately 130 Families in need at Christmas. What an incredible accomplishment!
Duvanco Homes has also made use of Social Media and helped to promote our Program by generously donating $5.00 for each Facebook post that is shared showing a Family’s Christmas tree, what a warm and innovative idea! Duvanco Homes has demonstrated year after year their commitment to Families in need. Thank you Duvanco Homes for enriching the lives of so many at Christmas.
